I work at Solus Ceramic’s head office in Birmingham and act as a point of contact for my designated sales executive. I provide both internal support including administrative duties, but I also deal with incoming calls from our clients- helping them to choose the best products for their projects.
Everyday is totally different and I often deal with challenging queries and complex requests. With the excellent training provided I know I have the skills to effectively face every difficulty I encounter and I can also rely on the experienced team around me to help me out.
I particularly enjoy the relaxed atmosphere at Solus Ceramics; building strong relationships with clients; and working on exciting and innovative architectural projects.
Solus Ceramics have recently invested in expanding their warehouse facilities, so it is a really exciting time to be part of the team. I work in the samples department, which overseas the picking, packing and distribution of every tile sample request that comes in from the sales support team.
Working in this department, you see the massive operation that Solus Ceramics maintains and get to be a vital part of the customer experience. It is a physical role that requires strength, determination and the ability to multi-task.
Since joining the company I have gained experience in teamwork; working to strict deadlines; how to operate a great deal of technical machinery including tile cutters; and have developed a great understanding about our products, the manufacturing partners and logistics.
A core department at Solus Ceramics, the orders team process incoming purchase orders, monitor stock movement and allocations in the warehouse, control international and UK transport, and liaise with customers about delivery.
It is a challenging department that requires a great understanding of time management, transportation logistics and the ability to multi-task. Since joining the company I have really grown in confidence and feel like I have the ability to communicate well with people from all over the world.
Being part of a fast growing, young company is incredibly exciting and I am looking forward to being a part of Solus Ceramics as it continues to develop in the future.
A job where no day is alike, being a Sales Executive at Solus Ceramics is an adventurous and rewarding experience that has seen me grow both personally and professionally.
My main role is creating leads and opportunities for the company and introducing new and current clients to our portfolio of products and services. Being a sales executive is about knowing the right questions to ask, and finding out exactly what somebody needs and supplying them with the information to help them to make a decision.
Looking after a vast area, travel is huge part of the role, as is meeting with lots of different people from different organisation and business sectors. An eye for design, being able to understand and translate technical information and the ability to negotiate are essential requirements to being a strong team member.
