Halifax New Oxford Street is a new concept flagship design for the Halifax Brand. Taking inspiration from the idea of a home away from home, the bank features warm, inviting spaces and non-traditional banking experiences. 

As banking moves towards a distinctly digital future, Lloyds Banking Group are leading the change in developing physical experiences focussed on offering customers expertise, education and engagement within a retail store.

Located in high footfall locations, the flagship format is at the centre of the group’s strategic objective to deliver different experiences for each of its banking brands, with New Oxford Street being the first iteration for Halifax.

Partnering with design consultancy The Honest Brand, the objective of the project was to show the brand at its best, with its products, services and knowledge presented in the most innovative way possible.

Leveraging Halifax’s heritage and market strength as the leading UK mortgage lender, the brand experience has been imagined as a Halifax ‘home’, which is brought to life across three floors of the 13,500 sqft space.

Tiles are used extensively throughout the space, with various porcelain effects representing different spaces in and around the Halifax ‘home’. On entering the bank, visitors are met with grey, concrete effect tiles from the Ironstone range, which represent a pavement or street.
