We are honoured to reveal that Solus has been awarded the ‘Investors in People’ gold accreditation – an accolade achieved by just 17 per cent of all participating organisations globally.

The coveted citation pays tribute to the company’s commitment to making Solus a ‘great place to work’ – a sentiment which a remarkable 94.9 per cent of employees agreed with.

Almost 90 per cent of the 87-strong team took part in the survey, many of whom also shared their views during more in-depth interviews.

In their feedback, members of the team lauded the company for its employee-centric ethos, particularly in reference to the swift implementation of working from home in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Those who continued to be based at Solus’ Birmingham head office due to the requirements of their role also commended the stringent safety measures that were put in place throughout the building.

Solus’ on-going support for employees through the provision of a free health and wellbeing service was highlighted as a sign of the business’ dedication to the team, along with clear and regular communication, and the annual reward scheme.

The results of the quantitative survey also speak for themselves, with 98.8 per cent of people saying they felt encouraged to use initiative in their role, 96.2 per cent agreeing that their position enables them to work well with others, and 94.9 per cent saying that they trust the business’ leaders.

A further 97.5 per cent of those surveyed said they share the company’s core values while 97.4 per cent agreed that the values were clear.
