Description

Banbury Aerospace is a futuristic and inspiration office development that features a number of tiles from Solus Ceramics' Iconic range. A neutral range of tile colours compliments wide industrial spaces and flashes of vibrant colours.

Tiles Used

Tiles from the Iconic range were supplied in three colours and used throughout the public areas.

Outcome

Crompton Technology Group, a UTC Aerospace Systems company, completed the construction and fit out of a state-of-the-art Centre of Excellence facility in Banbury in February 2013.

Solus were delighted to supply more than 1000m2 of floor and wall tiles throughout the building to areas including the staff canteen, circulation corridors and also to WCs.

Designed by architects Monteith Scott, the new building brings together many different departments who were previously located at different sites, and also will be used as a educational site for local schools, colleges and universities in the future.

To create a modern and streamline ambience, Solus supplied tiles from the aptly named Iconic range, which combines an understated palette of natural colours and four versatile finishes for a multitude of practical uses.

Beige, grey and dark grey tiles from the Iconic range were selected in a 600x600mm-rectified size, matt finish and were fixed in a contemporary pattern to the staff canteen area. In the general circulation areas the beige tile was continued throughout, complimented by a matching border tile in a Tendence finish, which features an eye-catching stripe.
