Burger & Lobster

Description

Their fifth restaurant, Burger & Lobster took their brand to Harvey Nichols in Knightsbridge. This presented a challenge from the other four restaurants because of its situation in the department store. DesignLSM worked closely with the client to create an inviting restaurant that would attract customers and successfully represent the brand.

Tiles Used

Bespoke marble effect porcelain tiles were sourced and supplied.

Outcome

Shortlisted in the Casual Dining Awards 2014 and Restaurant and Bar Design Awards 2014, it is clear that this space has an engaging, inspiring and thought provoking design.

Solus were delighted to work with DesignLSM to supply tiles to the main restaurant area. Marble effect floor tiles were used throughout the dining area and laid in a diagonal checker-board pattern. Black and white tiles were was selected, offering a classic statement that complemented the luxurious fixtures and fittings, especially the plush red seating.

With each restaurant being different DesignLSM go through a process of deconstruction taking out what isn’t needed and applying the Burger & Lobster brand to create modern and raw interiors with a warm, relaxed ambience. In this location, the historic architecture was brought to life with dynamic cloud-like lighting and rustic crates. The classically elegant tiles bridge the gap between modern and traditional and the beautiful veined tones of the material create a breathtaking statement.

The hard wearing nature of porcelain tiles are perfect for restaurant environments as they as durable and easy to clean.
