Description
Bringing a dilapidated Victorian swimming pool into the 21st Century, Solus supplied some of their most popular specialist ranges such as Porcelain Flare, to this complex project.

Solus supplied various colours and fittings from the versatile Technical Pool range.
Outcome
In February 2011 the swimming pool at Camberwell Leisure Centre re-opened after a campaign to save the dilapidated Grade II listed building.
Following a £4.7m investment from various London bodies, Southwark Council embarked on the refurbishment, with Solus supplying all of the tiles for the pool and pool surround.
Tiling contractors, Sims and Bostock undertook the fitting-out of the wet/dry changing areas, welfare facilities and the general circulation areas and Hydrospec Ltd undertook all preparatory, construction and tiling works within the pool and pool hall area.
The tiling of the pool and pool hall walls was laid in a brick bond arrangement to maintain consistency with the pools traditional Victorian heritage.
Tiles from Solus’ bold and striking Technical Pool range were specified in an anti slip pinhead finish. The Technical Pool range features more than 20 rich and vibrant colours in a variety of finishes and sizes with hundreds of edging and specialised pool finishing pieces available.
