Outcome
The traditional aesthetics of Cedar House, a stunning bespoke property designed by VanMark Group, is proof beyond a shadow of a doubt that appearances can be deceptive.
Behind the double fronted red-brick exterior of the newly built Oxfordshire home, ultra-modern influences reign supreme, with Solus’ concrete-effect Howell tiles from the Format range taking centre stage throughout.
Creating a sense of cohesion, the product’s rugged industrial aesthetics have been applied to each of the first-floor bathrooms and en-suites, as well as the wet room, where luxurious underfloor heating radiates warmth.
Howell, in measurements of 1200x600mm, has also been laid to great effect in the ground-floor WC, kitchen-diner, and utility room. A flexible range at heart, it has been beautifully arranged on the floors and walls, providing a seamless and uniform visual.
Linking the internal and external space, 2cm thick slabs have been used in the same large format on both the driveway and patio, a tantalising hint to the property’s urban inspired interior.
