Crowne Plaza

Description

Solus were delighted to work with the design team at Nous Design to supply tiles to all of the bathroom suites at the newly refurbished Crowne Plaza Kings Cross. The work was carried out through a series of phases, which saw the hotel transformed whilst remaining open to guests.

Tiles Used

The designers selected rusty, brown tiles from the innovative Ingenius range alongside floor tiles from the Mineral range.

Outcome

Located just a stones throw from St Pancras International train station, Crowne Plaza Kings Cross is a newly renovated addition to the popular upscale hotel chain in central London.

Solus collaborated with the team at Nous Design to supply tiles to more than 400 bathroom refurbishments within the hotel, which was carried out through a series of phased building programmes by contractor Connor Construction and main contractor ISG.

Solus supplied more than 3500m2 of wall and floor tiles to the en suite bathrooms for all of the bedrooms in the hotel. An interesting project, the hotel hosts a variety of differently styled rooms with an array of alternate bathroom designs, including full baths, walk in showers and DDA suites.

The rusty bronze tiles from the Ingenious range are characterised by an array of rustic speckles, dappled elements and light flecks, with each piece showcasing a random variety of tones and alternating areas of patina.
