Description
Dulwich Leisure Centre is a historically sensitive regeneration of a 119-year-old London swimming pool. Products from the Solus Modular range were selected to create a safe and modern environment.

Outcome
A pool at a 119-year-old leisure centre in London received a historically sensitive makeover in 2010 featuring beautiful tiles supplied by Solus.
The swimming pool at the Dulwich Leisure Centre in Southwark underwent extensive regeneration and improvements whilst retaining its grandiose Victorian architectural features.
A variety of aquatic inspired tiles from Solus’ colourful Modular range were used for the pool’s internal walls and floor, closely reflecting the traditional brick style tile orginally used in the baths. Steve Baker, Sales Director at Solus, said: “It is a wonderful development dating back to 1892.
The incredible thing was that a new pool was constructed within the old pool in order to preserve the integrity of the building.”
Tiling Contractors, Sims and Bostock undertook the fitting-out of the wet/dry changing areas, welfare facilities and the general circulation areas. Hydrospec Ltd undertook all preparatory, construction and tiling within the pool and pool hall.
