Description
Concrete tiles are one of the most popular design themes of recent times and Harris+Hoole in Guildford sets a great example with this textured and toned plank style floor tile.
Tiles Used
Long rectangular shaped tiles in a 250x1500mm size were chosen from the vogue Replicate range. The tiles were laid in an irregular pattern to echo the layout of wooden floorboards.
Outcome
Tiles from the on-trend Replicate range were supplied to the exciting project and were fitted to the floor areas and a wall.
Plank shaped tiles in a 250x1500mm size were laid in a floorboard style pattern creating a rustic ambience to compliment the vintage interior furniture.
The designers have achieved a harmonious balance between a comfortable sitting space and a modernistic urban space.
Replicate is a fantastic concrete inspired range that echoes the shapes and textures seen in polished concrete. All of the tiles are available in a cement style tone and some colour options are also available in a finish that is influenced by oxidized metals and metallic colours.
The range can be selected in a number of versatile sizes including a number of large format rectangular pieces that can be used to achieve an authentic looking concrete surface.
The tiles also posses a R9 rated slip resistance, which means they are great for a public setting. Solus were thrilled with the result and said that the coffee shop was an excellent example of using concrete like tiles in a commercial setting.
