Description
Situated on the scenic shore of Lake Ullswater, the award-winning Inn on the Lake was given a stylish ground floor make-over designed to appeal to a wide range of guests, from ramblers enjoying a rural retreat to couples tying the knot. Outcome
To reflect its reputation as the jewel in the crown of the Lake District, the owners of the Inn on the Lake wanted guests to be greeted with a touch of sparkle as they entered the hotel lobby – and Frank Whittle Partnership knew just who to contact to sprinkle a little magic.
The twinkling tones of Gems and Trinket create a striking star shape mosaic around the reception desk, shining a spotlight on the space with their gently veined and shaded appearance paying tribute to the stained glass windows of sacred medieval architecture. To create a sense of cohesion, the Jewels range also adorns the meet and greet desk and buffet station in the restaurant.
A locally-sourced granite counter-top puts the finishing touch on the reception desk, perfectly complementing Solus’ opulent travertine-effect Calaque from the Landform range which sits behind.
The lavish 900x1800mm wall panel features a perfect reproduction of cross and vein-cut stone, making a bold statement that exudes a sense of sophisticated indulgence, mirrored throughout the elegantly styled 48-bedroom hotel.
