Tiles Used
Walll tiles from the Empire range were selected.
Outcome
Bar group Drake & Morgan opened its seventh site in London’s Farringdon in February earlier this year and Solus were delighted to work with the brand again.
The Fable, a 436-seater, 10,000 sq ft bar and eatery, was designed by Fusion Design and Architecture Ltd using a mixture of eclectic materials such as wood, leather, textured wallpaper, warm colours and unique and interesting tiles.
Inspired be Aesop’s Fables, the bar is also home to many fairytale inspired finishing touches, including spell binding cocktails, wallpaper made from the pages of books and a clever booth made from scattered tomes.
In one of the eating areas Solus supplied wall tiles from the Empire range, which is a fantastically rustic series of textured tiles. Featuring elegant sweeps of three dimensional, multi-tonal brushstrokes, the tiles beautifully reflect light and glisten in an ethereal way.
Two complementary colours were selected including a delicious caramel and a refined taupe. The wall tiles were fixed in alternating width stripes across the walls, creating and eye catching and contemporary feature.
