Outcome
The perfect place to eat, drink and wind down after a busy day in the city, The Happenstance is an eclectically designed restaurant in the heart of London.
Designed by the team at Fusion Design and Architecture, The Happenstance is a latest in a long line of collaborations with Drake & Morgan and features a huge array of material from Solus.
In the entrance section of the bar, tiles from Solus’ Synergy range were laid in a complex herringbone pattern. Tiles were specially water jet cut by the in-house, expert team at Solus into long and thin plank shapes, and laid together.
Traditional victorian style tiles from the Program range were laid in various areas of the bar, with a particularly arresting combination used in the unusual flower/coffee shop. The designers selected a special triangular pattern made up of black and white pieces, creating a traditional yet modern surface design.
In the female toilets the herringbone floor makes a reappearance, this time in solid black. In contrast the male toilets feature a modern stripped design. Wall tiles from various collections were used throughout the bathrooms enhancing the rustic, industrial atmosphere.
