Description
To create a fresh new look at The Terrace restaurant, located within Wimbledon's iconic grounds, while staying true to its traditional colour palette and ethos. Photography by Alastair Levin

Nigella 3SCT0044, Asus 3SCT0049, both sourced from the Travertine 1 range, and Pomak 2CAA815, Rockface range.
Outcome
Once dated, The Terrace now sports a fresh and contemporary new look thanks to an ambitious masterplan to redesign an array of restaurants, bars, and cafes located within Wimbledon’s iconic grounds.
Led by SHH Architecture & Interior Design, the prestigious venue features the simple yet sophisticated palette that is synonymous with the world-famous sporting facility. The traditional palette of green, grey, and purple is featured throughout, alongside light fawn notes, muted mocha shades, and fresh white tones.
Featuring a Bocciardato R11 (A+B) finish, Solus’ green / grey tiles from the Travertine 1 range have been laid adjacent to lighter coloured tiles from the same collection to form an elegant design on the restaurant floor. The tiles’ neutral colouring and gently dappled visuals beautifully augment the ribbed oak fronted counter screens, oak ceiling slats, and floor to ceiling sliding glass doors which line the perimeter of the dining area.
Creating a contemporary visual in the WCs, dove grey porcelain tiles sourced from Solus’ Rockface collection adorn the walls, their gloss finish further enhancing the in-vogue design of the rest rooms.
