zynk Design completed an award-winning gym for The Hut Group at the Icon Studios in Manchester. The gym won the Leisure and Hospitality Project AV Award for 2022. The AV system was designed in collaboration with Pro AV and facilitates a number of media interactions. Solus supplied tiles for the luxury changing rooms and bathing areas. zynk Design created an incredible gym for The Hut Group at their headquarters in Manchester. A light cube made of individually addressable LED that can create three-dimensional images takes centre stage above the functional training zone. This cube can display any content in 3D but is mainly used for branding and virtual personal trainers.

Solus’ floor and wall finishes lead into the changing rooms and bathing areas. The Rockstone collection provided the perfect backdrop for the luxury touchpoints. Copper, tan leather, walnut lockers, Gessi tapware all convey the design brief of beautiful vanity.

The gym is filled with high-end equipment and the overall impression is one of luxury and style. Mirrored walls can become screens displaying training information or programmes like Peloton, FIIT, or Les Mills+.

The gym is in the Hut Group Studios were THG’s brands develop content. The AV elements of the gym space can be used by the brands for marketing purposes.
