Outcome
Acquired in 2015 by The Office Group, Tintagel House has undergone a complete and complex refurbishment by architects Stanton Williams, with interior design by Universal Design Group.
Offering 120,000 sq ft of service office and co-working space, and a wealth of communal spaces such as a cafe, bar, gym, lounge and kitchens, it is safe to say that building has shaken off its imposing and sombre image.
Universal Design Studio, the London-based practice behind the interior design overhaul, anchored the interior influences on Tintagel House’s previous life as a Met Police building.
Solus worked with the studio to supply genuine Terrazzo material from the Terrazzo range, which was used on the floor areas of some of the specially designed socially-oriented public areas. A highlight included the use of a chic lightly speckled dark grey terrazzo in a spectacular seating area crowned from above by a dynamic circular light and framed with a sheer drape curtain.
