That’s (almost) a wrap on 2023, and what a year it’s been! As the Christmas lights twinkle and the mulled wine starts simmering, we’ve been looking back on the past 12 months…

From launching our new brand, reopening our repurposed Clerkenwell home, signing a lease for a showroom in Manchester, supporting lots of inspiring initiatives, collaborating with countless individuals and organisations, launching exhibitions including Cloud to Cloud and Sounds of the Earth, and taking part in events across the country, it certainly has been a year to remember.

And of course, none of it would be possible without our wonderful team. We welcomed new people and celebrated many milestones, including some 20 years of service! We baked for the Macmillan Cancer Trust, collected presents for the Salvation Army, mentored many work experience students, treasure-hunted our way around Birmingham, cooked for the Build the Way Traineeship, walked for Help Harry Help Others, wore red noses and danced for Comic Relief, and even had a Solus wedding.

We reopened our reimagined showroom with a series of exhibitions, events, and collaborations.

Thank you to the Warehouse, Samples and Sample Wallets teams for ensuring you all receive the hundreds of samples, wallets, and much more. The IT and Systems team for always being there for all our technical challenges. The Sales, Sales Support, Corporate and Showroom teams for continuing to deliver excellent customer service. The Orders and Business Development teams for making sure everything goes smoothly. The HR, People and Training teams for always supporting each and every one of us. The Finance team for handling all things finance-related (and making sure we’re always paid!). The Marketing team for all the many invites, graphics, Quarter magazines (and more). The Events team for delivering a jam-packed programme of sessions, talks, workshops and more. The Product team for sourcing the very best in the industry. The Technical team for having all the knowledge. The Sustainability team for always ensuring we’re on the right path and doing what we can. Mel for making sure we’re all where we’re meant to be. And the Directors for always motivating us and driving our people-centred culture. What a team we have here.

And finally, thank you to everyone who we have collaborated with over the past year. All of our wonderful clients – architects, designers, contractors and subcontractors. Our factories and partners for continuing to deliver for us and our clients. The workshop and Solus Sessions leaders, all the speakers at our talks, the photographers, videographers, cleaners, musicians, caterers, couriers, and so many more.
